Vehicle wrap questions, answered
Short, direct answers about cost, timing, durability, and how working with Sheridan Print goes.
How much does a vehicle wrap cost in Chicago?
We price every job by the square foot, so cost follows vehicle size and coverage. At Sheridan Print, spot graphics start at $350, full wraps range from $3,000 to $7,000 depending on vehicle size, and partial wraps fall in between.
Send us the year, make, and model (or box length), plus your logo, and we will send back a mockup and an exact square-foot price. Read the full cost guide.
How long does a vehicle wrap take to install?
Most single vans and pickups are installed in one to two days once the design is approved and printed. Box trucks and full fleets are scheduled in phases so your vehicles keep working. We give you an install date when you approve the design.
How long does a vehicle wrap last?
Life depends on the film, the laminate, how much sun and salt the vehicle sees, and how it is washed. Quality cast vinyl with a protective laminate typically lasts several years on a work vehicle. We tell you the manufacturer-rated life of the exact film we quote, and give you care instructions for Chicago winters.
Do you design the wrap, or do I need artwork?
We design in-house. Bring a logo, or even just your business name, and our designer builds the layout around your vehicle's real dimensions. If you already have artwork, we prep it for print and check it against the vehicle template.
Can a wrap damage my paint?
On factory paint in good condition, a professionally installed and removed wrap protects the paint underneath. Rust, chips, aftermarket respray, or peeling clear coat can lift when vinyl is removed, so we inspect the surface before quoting and tell you about any risk up front.
Do you wrap fleets?
Yes. We work with businesses running anywhere from one vehicle to fleets of ten or more. Fleet clients get one brand standard across every make and model, phased scheduling, and saved design files so new vehicles match the rest of the fleet. See our fleet program.
What areas do you serve?
We serve the City of Chicago, the south, west, and north suburbs, and Northwest Indiana. Vehicles are installed at our shop; storefront windows, wall murals, and signs are measured and installed on site.
What is the difference between a printed wrap and a color change wrap?
A printed wrap is white vinyl printed with your design, logos, and photos, then laminated. It is built for advertising. A color change wrap uses solid colored film (gloss, satin, matte, metallic, or color-shift) to change the look of the whole vehicle without paint.
How do I get an accurate quote?
Send the year, make, and model of each vehicle (or the box length for trucks and trailers), a few photos, your logo, and what you want the wrap to say. For storefronts and walls, we schedule a site measure.
Do I need to leave my vehicle with you?
Yes, vehicles are installed at our shop. Most vans and pickups need one to two days. We confirm drop-off and pick-up times when we schedule.
How should I wash a wrapped vehicle?
Hand washing is best. Avoid brush car washes, keep pressure washers at a distance, and rinse road salt off regularly in winter. Read our winter care guide.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. A deposit after design approval reserves your print and installation date.
Still have a question?
