Fleets

Fleet branding checklist for service companies

Short answer

Before wrapping a fleet, lock down five things: an inventory of every vehicle and its dimensions, one brand standard for logo, color, and phone placement, a single clear message, a phased install schedule, and a plan for vehicles you add later. Getting these right first keeps the fleet consistent and the budget predictable.

1. Inventory every vehicle

List year, make, model, roof height, and box length for each vehicle, plus current graphics and lease status. Different vehicle types need adapted layouts, so this list drives both design and pricing.

2. Set one brand standard

Decide logo size and position, brand colors, phone number and website size, and the core message. Every vehicle follows the same rules, even when the shapes differ.

3. Keep the message to one idea

People see a moving vehicle for a few seconds. Company name, what you do, and how to reach you. Put the service list on the website.

4. Make it readable at a distance

  • High contrast between text and background.
  • Phone number large enough to read from the next lane.
  • A short, memorable web address.

5. Schedule installs in phases

Plan two or three vehicles at a time around routes and slow days so service never stops.

6. Plan for new vehicles

Ask your shop to keep files and specs on record so replacements match without new design fees.

7. Measure results

Add "Saw one of our trucks" to your intake form and ask new customers how they heard about you. Track calls by month before and after the rollout.
